Lip Sync Battle Returns with Its First-Ever Live Special
Your fave celeb contestants will be back to lip-sync their hearts out once again.
Over the course of Lip Sync Battle's first two seasons, we've seen Joseph Gordon-Levitt slay Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation," NeNe Leakes werk it to a Rupaul classic, and Beyoncé bring her fierceness to the stage. But now Lip Sync Battle is about to go where it's never gone before: live.
Yes, the Spike musical competition series will air its first-ever live show this September, the network announced in a press release Wednesday. The special will feature some of Lip Sync Battle's most memorable past celebrity contestants, including John Legend, Olivia Munn, and Terry Crews. Fans at home will decide who wins the coveted Lip Sync Battle championship belt.
“Our show is always wild, but for this show, the returning champs already know how to play and win and are focused on giving an over-the-top performance,” the show's executive producer, Casey Patterson, said in a statement. “Being live for first time ever means anything can happen and we are so excited that our fans at home will be voting live for the winner.”
Of course, co-hosts LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen will also bring their charm back to the Lip Sync Battle stage for the live special and new season premiering later this fall. Until then, relive this dynamic duo's appearance on Watch What Happens Live, below.
