The Real Housewives of New York City cabaret singer has completed her one-year probation sentence related to her 2017 arrest in Palm Beach, Florida, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. As part of her probation, Luann was not permitted to use drugs or alcohol and was required to submit to random testing.

Luann commented on the news on Instagram, writing, "Hi, my friends, I'm happy to say after a long difficult year... I've made it through! I'm humbled and grateful for this life lesson and ready to put the past behind me and move on with my life. Wish me luck! Thank you for your undying support over the years! Love always, Luann."

Luann was arrested and subsequently spent one night in jail on Christmas Eve in 2017 on charges of battery on an officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence, and crimes against a person. She reached a plea deal in August 2018 in which she agreed to perform 50 hours of community service with at least 10 hours per month, attend two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week in New York, and attend a Mothers Against Drunk Driving victim impact class. Luann was also required to write an apology letter to Deputy Steven O'Leary.

Following her arrest, Luann checked herself in to an alcohol treatment center at the end of 2017 where she stayed for 21 days. She later returned to rehab for a second time in July 2018, notably missing the RHONY Season 10 reunion.

Luann appeared in court in May 2019 to address allegations that she violated her parole. "I struggle with alcohol like everybody does except I have no room for error," Luann said during an interview with DailyMailTV in June. "That's a very difficult way to live under the spotlight. I was able to turn that around. I take my sobriety very seriously and I'm working day by day."

Luann was open about her triumphs and challenges throughout her journey to move forward and live a healthy lifestyle in Season 11 of RHONY, giving fans a glimpse into her probation experience (clip above) as well as the therapy that her cabaret shows have provided her.

Luann was focused on the future as she neared the end of her probation sentence. "The outcome was that I got stricter probation rules until the end of August," she said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in July while addressing her probation violation. "So I'm almost done and then this will be behind me 100 percent. But I paid very dearly for the last year for one very big mistake. I'll be glad to put it behind me. And I feel like I learned a lot about myself in this year."
