Madison Hildebrand: My Guilty Pleasures
The MDLLA star on his fave grooming rituals, home splurges and more.
They've got successful careers and are adored by fans, but what things bring joy to our Bravolebrities lives? From fashion and food to music and movies, our stars share their favorite guilty pleasures. This week, Madison Hildebrand from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles.
Favorite Home Splurge: Gardening
I love gardening, growing my own herbs and having lots of beautiful plants and trees at my house. I feel like it brings a lot of life to an interior space. My all time favorite home decor item has to be big, beautiful, exotic orchids. I make many trips to the world famous Zuma Canyon Orchids by my house and stock up for myself and also like to send them to clients as housewarming gifts. Who doesn't love an orchid?
Favorite Website: Zillow
Believe it or not...I'm hooked on Zillow. Even in my down time, I spend hours trolling through houses for sale all across the country and seeing their "zestimates" and how the market differs from place to place. They also do a good job with breaking celebrity real estate stories. What can I say...I love what I do!
Favorite Food Splurge: Nobu Malibu
I can't get enough. I've been to Nobus all across the globe as an avid traveler, but this gem is in my own backyard and has its own feel. It has the best design and location of any of the Nobus I've been to. That coupled with the tastiest of sushi is a recipe for a perfect night entertaining friends, family, and clients (even though it's costing me a mortgage payment)!
Favorite Suits: Klein Epstein Parker
Whenever I'm feeling blue, being fitted and creating a new custom tailored suit from K.E.P. adds a little sparkle to my eye. Taking a visit to the West Hollywood boutique is a different type of shopping experience where I can really be creative in fabrics and fits. I'm obsessed and love that the finished product is truly unique and as "fun" as I want it to be. They even put a custom name tag that is so quirky...it's the icing on the cake!
Favorite Zen Moments: Hiking with my dog
In this line of work, you rarely get a dedicated day off so I have to take my moments as they come and often try to sneak away from the hustle to go on a hike with Maya (my doberman baby girl). I also work out with my trainer, Curtis, whenever I get the chance. I'm lucky that he's able to come to my house to train. Anything that is active and outdoors is going to make me happy and relaxed!
Favorite Grooming Rituals
I am a fanatic when it comes to my hair, skin, and chompers. People always ask so here are some of my all-time favorite products. Hair: I visit my hair stylist like it's a religion, love Moroccan Oil and on a really good day...the ocean gives me the best salty hair. Skincare: I visit a great Aesthetician in West Hollywood, Geri G, who takes a different approach than anyone I've ever visited. Her treatments range from nutritional supplements to cutting edge technology. I also can't live without Kiehl's facial fuel eye de puffer. This stuff is amazing and keeps me camera ready. When it comes to my teeth, I have it down to a science. 2 minutes: Sonicare toothbrush...check...Sensodyne Whitening toothpaste..check...floss and BAM...ready for bed. I can't sleep if I haven't gone through my oral ritual!
Favorite TV Shows: Housewives!
I'm not just saying this because I have a vested interest but Bravo really does it well. All of their shows are entertaining but I'm in love with all of the Real Housewives shows. After a long day of phone calls, meetings, and escrow paperwork, it's fun to make dinner and watch some purely entertaining reality shows. It gives my brain a break for a good hour.
Favorite Sunglasses: Sicky's World
I collaborated with my brother (aka MR. SICKY) and some of today's most creative minds and taste makers in developing a new line of sunglasses that symbolize Malibu: luxury, fun, an active lifestyle. The website is cool and fun to peruse with some really iconic photography that speaks for itself.
