Malia White Is “Recovering Quickly” After Her Recent Scooter Accident
The Below Deck Med bosun shared an update on how she's feeling after an accident last month.
Malia White is on the mend after sustaining several injuries in a scooter accident in Mallorca, Spain in late June. In a recent Instagram post, the Below Deck Mediterranean bosun offered an update on how she’s feeling nearly three weeks after the incident, revealing that she’s “recovering quickly.”
On July 15, Malia took to Instagram to share the latest on her recovery process after suffering broken toes, a fractured elbow, and severe road rash among other injuries in the accident. The yachtie said she’s now feeling well enough to start working out again, sharing several photos from a recent run.
“Not too shabby a 5k time all considered!” she wrote in the caption alongside a photo of her resting her injured foot and a close-up of her runtime. “The temporary pain of running with some broken toes doesn’t outweigh the mental instability I suffer from sitting on the couch going days without exercise. Exercise has always been my release and without it I get very down & out.”
Malia went on to add, “I’m thankful things weren’t worse and I am recovering quickly! Today I find out how much longer until I can be back on deck! Just need this elbow to heal!”
The post drew plenty of support and love from friends and followers, including Below Deck Med alum, Max Hagley. “Love that mate! Healing well x,” he wrote in the comments.
Earlier this month, Malia shared photos from before and after the accident. “"This was a day before the crash and a few days after. Hoping these wounds heal without too much scarring [and] I’m back in shorts in Spain in no time!” she captioned a July 7 post. “Thanks for all the love and well wishes!"
