Mariah Huq’s Daughter, Lauren-Taylor, Just Revealed Her College Plans (UPDATED)
The Married to Medicine mom offered up the best updates about her daughter, as well as her husband, Dr. Aydin Huq, and son, Ethan.
UPDATE (MAY 31, 9:08 A.M.): After sharing that her daughter will be attending Spelman College for her freshman year, Married to Medicine alum Mariah Huq recently posted about her daughter Lauren-Taylor's high school graduation.
"We have a high school grad!" Mariah shared alongside a photo of her daughter from her graduation ceremony in her cap and gown, which you can see on her Instagram feed. Mariah added several hashtags including National Honor Society and "Proud."

Married to Medicine alum Mariah Huq's daughter, Lauren-Taylor, is ready to start her next chapter. Mariah shared on Instagram this week that her kid is prepping to head off to college and revealed just where she'll be attending school for her freshman year.
"So proud to say Lauren-Taylor had several full rides and Merit scholarships to a lot of great Universities," Mariah wrote, noting that her daughter and four classmates "had tunnel vision" and chose top-ranked HBCU Spelman College. (It should be noted that Lauren-Taylor is in good company, as Dr. Simone Whitmore is a Spelman alum!) Mariah added, "I’m so excited for all these lovely ladies."
Mariah's daughter also celebrated another milestone recently when she attended her senior prom. And of course her mom posted the stunning photos of her daughter looking radiant in a blush gown.
Ahead of the prom, Mariah opened up about the joys of watching her daughter grow up.
"We brag different. Our swag is different! The best [and] biggest investment you can make outside of yourself is in your kids! Catch the Education, excellence, exposure [and] Empathy and inherit the empire! Teach them to speak it, believe it [and] achieve it and to always respect the lineage!" Mariah wrote. "So proud of you Lauren-Taylor. You are a bold, balanced, beautiful, Black girl that’s an heiress to a successful TV Franchise that you help to inspire! Watch the throne baby girl! This is only the beginning! Looking forward to your Senior Prom tomorrow! Remember to keep it cute [and] classy... Tomorrow is about to be SERIOUS! Prom 2022!"
Mariah also has a son, Ethan, and shared a sweet update on him last October, writing, "Screaming Happy Birthday (October 6th) to my laid back, smart handsome Pilot son Ethan! It is a blessing to have this honest [and] easy going young man as a son!"
Also last October, she posted a message for her husband, Dr. Aydin Huq. "Happy Birthday Aydin! I hope you let your hair down and dance your heart away to celebrate making it another year. I've said thank you for many things, but I'm screaming thank you for your unwavering commitment to your patients and the overall health of our community," she captioned the photo of him hard at work. "It's a blessing to be used as a vessel and you use your gift well! Xoxo."
BTW, Mariah never misses the chance to gush about being Lauren-Taylor and Ethan's mom because that's just what moms do. "Today I'm paying [homage] to my heartbeats that made me a Mommy! I'm blessed that God chose me to be your vessels. My love, admiration [and] dedication for these two is unparalleled. They are growing up so fast I realized we had no recent family pics. They barely let me capture these darn shots," she wrote last year. "Capture all the memories [and] moments you can [because] the time goes by in an instant!"
