'Married to Medicine's' Kari Wells Clears Up Misconceptions
You think you know, but you have no idea.
Married to Medicine's Kari Wells wants to make one thing very clear: being married to a doctor doesn’t automatically mean you live a privileged and charmed life. (Although we’re pretty sure you can get a script refilled with no hassles -- we kid, we kid.)
"I think that the biggest misconception is that we all have an easy life as wives of doctors -- or that we married into money," Wells told Zap2it. The gorgeous British born ex-model explains that her background is, “not at all what anyone would think of just by looking at me.”
Kari is married to Duncan Wells, an orthopedic surgeon and mom of Alexa, 8, and Bryson 7. She also is the CFO of her husband’s companies and is heavily involved in many charities, another reason why she decided to be a part of the show.
It was the main reason that I did the show," she said. "I love to bring attention to my charities, including Thriving Children and Doctors Without Borders. We all have a duty to give back in life."
And she’s not just a pretty face, Kari also speaks four (!) languages and loves to travel, armed with the philosophy, “you cannot have a narrow mind with a thick passport."
