Could Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow's rumored feud be heating up again? One Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen fan asked the lifestyle guru for her take on the investigation into the alleged "deceptive" health claims made about Goop's products by watchdog group Truth in Advertising and if there was any truth to the rumors that she was "happy" about it.
Stewart at first poked a little fun at their reported beef. "Who's Goop?" she joked to Andy Cohen.
Then, Stewart shut down the rumors. "No, that's not true," she said. "She's a good girl."
Stewart and Paltrow have been rumored to have tension between them ever since the Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party star commented on her company in 2013. "She really wants to be part of the lifestyle business. She's a charming, pretty person who has a feeling for lifestyle,” Stewart said of Paltrow founding Goop on Bloomberg Television. “She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter. Fine. Good. I think I started this whole category of lifestyle.”
Stewart seemed to more explicitly criticize Paltrow in 2014. "She just needs to be quiet. She's a movie star," she told PORTER magazine of the Goop founder, as reported by Us Weekly. "If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."
Stewart and Paltrow then exchanged shady recipes in Martha Stewart Living and on Goop.com, respectively, with Stewart seemingly mocking Paltrow's "conscious uncoupling" from Chris Martin and Paltrow seemingly mocking Stewart's five-month jail sentence in 2004.
Your move, Paltrow.
