Three new “queens” are on a quest to find love and happiness when Season 2 of Queens Court returns on its new home on Bravo and Peacock on Sunday, October 6.
On the dating series, hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and Rodney Peete, nearly two dozen men will try to be the knight in shining armor that wins over their hearts, as they go on dates until all the competitors are eliminated, leaving three newly coronated “kings.” But who are these year's queens?
Read on to find out more about the queens sitting atop this season’s thrones in the court of love.
Who is LisaRaye McCoy?
Actress, director, and producer LisaRaye McCoy first jumped on screens in 1997 on the TV series In The House, before going on to play Diamond in the 1998 film The Players Club, where she starred alongside Jamie Foxx, Ice Cube, and Terrence Howard. She’s had a long career according to her IMDB profile, starring as Nesee James for several seasons on the show All Of Us from 2003-2007 as well as Keisha Greene on the TV show Single Ladies from 2011-2015.
She’s most recently been on the shows A House Divided and The Family Business.
From 1992 to 1994, LisaRaye was married to NFL player Tony Martin, who played for the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, and Atlanta Falcons in the '90s. She then married former Turks and Caicos Islands Premier (formerly known as Chief Minister) Michael Misick in 2006, where she acquired the title “First Lady of Turks and Caicos.”
“I went from an actress to a first lady, and I have a lifestyle in which I absolutely love,” she said in the trailer for Queens Court Season 2. “I would not allow anyone to take me backward.”
Although Misick and LisaRaye divorced in 2008, the former first lady is indeed going forward and upward to the royal title of queen, as she searches for her king.
Who is K. Michelle?
K. Michelle, who was once crowned on the homecoming court, will use her new crown to find love on Season 2 of Queens Court. She’s made her mark in the music world, signing with Jive Records in 2008 and later releasing two top 10 albums Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart? and Rebellious Soul, according to Billboard.
Queens Court isn’t the first time she’s made public her search to find her king. In 2012, she joined the cast of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where she became a breakout star and signed a major record deal with Warner Brothers.
“I’m just really blessed to get a second chance. I have so much to sing about and so many stories to tell,” K. Michelle told Singersroom. “I may not be the most polished or prissy R&B singer, but I do feel that I am the voice of a lot of women who don’t have a voice.”
She later joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: New York, and toured with Robin Thicke on his Blurred Lines Tour, according to BET.
In July 2024, she signed a recording contract with BBR Music Group and BMG Nashville to release her debut country album. But despite her busy life, she’s ready to settle down with a King of Hearts.
“I’m at the crossroads in my life; I am ready for stability,” she said in the Queens Court trailer. “I’m the kind of woman God's gotta shake up, flip down, roll over in order to change, and that’s exactly what he did.”
Who is London "Deelishis" Charles?
This isn’t London “Deelishis” Charles’ first shot at love. The model, also known as Chandra Davis, is best known for being the winner of the reality show Flavor of Love 2. But Flav wasn’t London’s true King, as the two announced they were no longer dating in VH1’s Where Are They Now series. On the show, "Deelishis" claimed they called it quits because Flavor Flav "stopped calling me, wouldn't accept my calls, changed his number, and totally avoided me," according to BET.
"Deelishis" married Raymond Santana, an exonerated member of the Central Park Five, but they ended up divorcing in 2022, after 20 months of marriage, Essence reported.
“So, the world knows me as ‘Deelishis,’ but for this, I want to be known as myself,” she said in the Queens Court trailer. “I am London, and it’s just as tasty. Trust me.”
In addition to her modeling and reality TV careers, she’s also released songs, including “The Movement,” a tribute to Barack Obama’s rise to the presidency in 2008.
