How Has Melissa Gorga Changed Most Since We First Met Her on The Real Housewives of New Jersey?
Well, she’s “coming into her own.”
Melissa Gorga was a very different person than she is today when she first arrived on Season 3 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey as OG Teresa Giudice's sister-in-law. When she first started filming, Melissa was a stay-at-home mom to three children, including one baby, and was embarking on a singing career. Seven seasons later, the Melissa of yesteryear bears little resemblance to the Envy store owner of today.
"When I started this show, I was young," Melissa explains in the video above. "I had little babies; I'm really becoming who I am and what I believe in now, which, obviously, I'm all about women power right now and I'm all about coming into my own and being able to be myself but also be Joe's wife and a mommy and all the other things that I am."
The mom-of-three added that fans should expect to see some changes from her. "I think you're going to see more of the Melissa that I've grown into and who I want to be and who I love being," she said. "Of course you're going to see a lot of Envy; you're going to see a lot of fun fashion because I would never disappoint. And no one ever would get through a whole season without my alter ego, which is 'Drunk Melissa.' She'll be here, too."
The Season 9 preview teaser shows Melissa at odds with Teresa, but as she explains in the video below, "We are Italians from Jersey. We love hard, we fight hard, and we go hard." Check that out and make sure to tune in to RHONJ premiering November 7 at 9/8c.
