A Year After Their Wedding, Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Tommy Feight Still Haven't Taken Part in This Marriage Tradition

The days leading up to and after Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Tommy Feight's wedding last April have been filled with so many magical moments, from their wild bachelor/bachelorette party in Las Vegas to their unforgettable nuptials to the arrival of their first child, son Shams Francis Feight, this past month. However, there is one very common wedding tradition that MJ and Tommy have yet to partake in more than one year after tying the knot.
MJ recently shared on Instagram that she and Tommy have yet to go on a honeymoon. "Last year, we skipped our honeymoon because we wanted to show up [for] a great cause, [the John Wayne Cancer Foundation] fundraising [and bringing] about awareness, holding people accountable for getting tested early, as well as the very important scientific research headed by this organization that helps with cancer treatment BREAKTHROUGHS #immunology and we are so proud to support this cause," she said.
But the Shahs of Sunset mom hasn't given up hope that she and Tommy can get away for a little bit to celebrate their love. "Also, I still want to take the honeymoon that I have waited my whole life to take; a romantic post wedding, baby moon with the man I had waited my whole life to meet," she gushed on Instagram.
As new parents, MJ and Tommy certainly have their hands full these days. But MJ has already started thinking about having another kid. “Some of the times I think about baby No. 2, and then I say, ‘Shut up. Enjoy the moment. You’ll get there when you get there,’” she told Us Weekly earlier this month, adding that Tommy will "do whatever I say" when it comes to deciding whether or not to expand their family.
MJ and Tommy could certainly use a vacation after the challenging year they've had. However, MJ said these difficult times actually brought her and her husband closer together. “For couples to really get to know each other, you have to go through things,” she shared. “When my father fell ill, [my husband] showed up for me, and when I was going crazy on the [IVF] hormone medication, he showed up for me, and so it builds a really strong foundation that I’m extremely appreciative of.”
