Meredith Marks “Cried” Watching That Emotional Separation Conversation With Her Husband
The RHOSLC cast member revealed what she regrets about sharing the news of her separation.
The cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has let fans into all aspects their lives as friends, moms, and businesswomen — as well as their religious beliefs and marriages — during Season 1 of the series. And for Meredith Marks, that means she has been open about her home life and separation from her husband, Seth Marks, as the season plays out.
During the December 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Meredith revealed what she "regrets," if anything, about sharing that aspect of her life with the world. "Actually, I would say more of a regret was not being more up front about it to begin with," she said. "I think it would have saved me a lot of aggravation."
Wednesday's episode of RHOSLC was emotional for the couple, who reunited after spending some time apart with Seth splitting his time between Utah and Ohio for work. They didn't agree on where they should be living in the long run, and later on, Meredith suggested they may need "room." But Seth expressed his reservations about their future together.
In an interview in the episode, Meredith noted, "It's not that I want to separate, but sometimes you have to work things out individually in order to be able to come back together as a happy couple."
On WWHL, Meredith said those moments in the episode with her husband left her emotional. "Honestly, I cried watching that. It was really sad to see, and stepping out and being able to reflect back is very strange and unusual," she shared. "But when I made this choice, I knew I had to disclose what was happening. It took me some time to gain the courage to do it. And I do think that having talked with some of the ladies earlier on, it may have been a lot easier on me if I had done that. I do."
