Milania Giudice Pledges a Sorority — and This Is How Her Big Sister Gia Reacted
The RHONJ daughter took fans inside the sorority's Bid Day at the University of Tampa.
Milania Giudice didn’t waste any time pursuing Greek life.
Just weeks after kicking off her college freshman year, The Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter announced she was pledging the Gamma Pi chapter of Sigma Delta Tau sorority. Milania, who is enrolled at the University of Tampa, shared the big news in a series of social media posts featuring her fellow pledges.
“OK, so it’s Bid Day,” she said in a September 9 TikTok. “We wanted to do a cute Bid Day video. We’re all going to open our envelopes together right here.”
Milania Giudice accepts the invitation to join Sigma Delta Tau
Bid Day traditionally marks the end of a sorority’s recruitment process and culminates with potential members receiving “invites” to join the sorority. Those who accept the invitation will then go through a pledge process in which they learn about the organization before their official initiation.
Milania’s video then cut to her and her friends opening their invitations to become SDT pledges. And needless to say, the Jersey native was thrilled. The footage showed Milania jumping and cheering in excitement before heading to the official Bid Day party, where she and other pledges enjoyed an afternoon of dancing, music, and sweet treats. Milania also showed off her new SDT gear, which included a baseball cap, a graphic tee, and a canvas tote.
“The beSDT,” she captioned the TikTok.
How Gia Giudice responded to Milania's sorority decision
Milania’s post received dozens of comments, including one from her big sister Gia Giudice.
“Awwww,” she wrote.
As many of you probably know, Milania isn’t the first Giudice to join a Greek organization. Gia was initiated into Zeta Tau Alpha at Rutgers University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She spoke about her sorority experience during a recent Amazon Live stream, saying ZTA was among the “best” parts of her college days.
“College was the best years of my life,” she said. “I would say freshman and junior year were super exciting for me. Junior was super cool because I was actually exploring my major a little bit more and I was doing internships. So that was probably the best part. And I was really into my sorority.”
Milania says goodbye to her mom, Teresa Giudice, on her first day of college
Milania moved to Tampa in late August to begin her first semester at UT. She shared a look at her new chapter in an August 26 TikTok featuring her mom, RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice.
The emotional video included an audio clip of a child asking, “Why are you leaving me? I’m going to miss you.”
But in typical Milania fashion, she managed to make light of the situation. “I start classes in 3 hours help!” she captioned the clip. “i don’t want my mom to leave.”
