France's Iris Mittenaere was crowned the new Miss Universe, and we have a fellow beauty to thank for choosing her to take home the prestigious title Sunday night. Cynthia Bailey was one of the judges at this year's pageant, and she totally upped the glamour and fierceness of this year's competition.
Cynthia couldn't have been more thrilled about her new role. "I have watched the Miss Universe pageant my whole life, and I am so honored to be a judge this year. I was blown away during the preliminary interviews by these ladies' back stories, intelligence, philanthropies, grace, and beauty," Cynthia told The Daily Dish in a statement prior to the final night of the competition. "I am so inspired by all of them. They are all winners, and trying to pick just one is a huge challenge, but I am up for it!"
The Real Housewives of Atlanta fashionista was joined by former Miss Universe title holders Dayanara Torres, Sushmita Sen, and Leila Lopes, PAPER magazine's editorial director Mickey Boardman, and producer, social entrepreneur, and activist Francine LeFrak to judge the final night of the pageant. We wonder if Cynthia picked up any pageant tips from her good friend and past Miss Universe contestant, Miss USA title holder Kenya Moore.

You could tell that Cynthia was excited about being a part of the pageant since she didn't seem to mind the hours and thousands of miles she had to travel to Manila, Philippines for the competition.
It also looks like Cynthia had a ton of fun behind the scenes, too.
Watch Cynthia werk it some more, below.
