Mercedes "MJ" Javid Offers an Update on Where Things Stand with Reza Farahan

Viewers are only at the beginning of Season 8 of Shahs of Sunset — and as the season progresses will get to find out what caused a rift between longtime BFFs, Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Reza Farahan. When she stopped by The Daily Dish offices last week, MJ addressed if she's ready to reconcile amid their tension.

"No, I don't really see a lot of room from my end of saying, from today, that we should hope for any reconciliation," she said at Bravo HQ on February 14. "I think that I was the most vulnerable and the most raw of any person [during the season]. Imagine you just had a baby. And I'm not feeling very forgiving right now. I just want to heal separately from him — and he's the person that should just heal himself perhaps."

When asked if she misses their friendship at all currently, she said, "No, not right now."

When Reza spoke to The Daily Dish ahead of the Season 8 premiere, he offered his take on his current status with MJ.

"I really pray to God that this isn't the end of my relationship with MJ. It would be really tragic for this to be the end of a 30-year friendship," he said earlier this month. "So I pray to God that he heals MJ's heart further. He heals Tommy's heart. He heals Adam's heart. And he heals my heart further to get us to a place where there's an opportunity for reconciliation. I loved her for a majority of my life. She's been my friend for 30 years. I'm 46 years old. So I pray to God this isn't the end."
