Shiva Safai is ready to start her next chapter. She confirmed on Instagram that she and boyfriend Niels Houweling are officially engaged. The couple decided to embark on marriage after being separated by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Niels popped the question last Friday in Amsterdam.
"Beginning of forever," she wrote. "As most of you already knew, Niels and I were separated due to COVID-19. He went back home to Holland, and during that time we both realized that we never wanted to be apart from each other ever again!"
And while they're not married yet, it's clear that Niels is very excited to walk down the aisle, declaring Shiva the "Future Mrs. Houweling" on Instagram.
She also shared a video documenting the whole thing.
Shiva was previously engaged to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ex-husband of Yolanda Hadid, Mohamed Hadid.
According to Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Niels is a Dutch DJ who was raised between Costa Rica, Uruguay, Florida, New York, and Los Angeles. The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in May.
