Monique Samuels on Dealing with Her Behavior in the Altercation: "This Wasn't About the Show for Me Anymore"
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member opens up about her emotional conversation with her pastor.
Following the incident at the winery earlier this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Monique Samuels, and her husband, Chris Samuels, sat down with their pastor, Chad, and his wife, Darice, in an effort to better understand her behavior that night.
As we saw in the October 11 episode of RHOP, that conversation turned out to be an emotional one as Monique and Pastor Chad discussed the altercation, including moments in her past that may have influenced her actions.
Monique opens up more about the process of moving forward from the incident, including the importance of seeking counseling from her pastor, in the above clip from The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 5 After Show, exclusive to Bravo Insider. "Breaking fourth wall and all, this wasn't about the show for me anymore; this is real life," Monique shared. "And I'm not taking this lightly because I don't ever want this to happen again because I have way too much to lose, and I have three little people [Monique's children] that look up to me."
Monique shares more about her and her husband's longtime relationship with their pastor and gaining a better understanding of her triggers in the above video. Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, Gizelle Bryant, and Ashley Darby, as well as RHOP executive producer Kemar Bassaragh and Vice President, Current Production at Bravo, Josh Brown, also weigh in on Monique's journey in the aftermath of the altercation.
