Monique Samuels Claps Back at the RHOP Ladies' Complaints About the Lake House Trip

"Newburg will never be the same," The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member said.

By Laura Rosenfeld

The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies have had a lot to say about their girls' trip to Monique Samuels' lake house in Newburg, Maryland, and we're not even talking about the drama. From the lack of cell phone reception to the activities planned to quiet lunches, the RHOP cast hasn't given their stay so far a glowing review.

Well, the RHOP crew hasn't exactly been the best guests, either, according to Monique. "I don’t think I’ve ever experienced this amount of arguing and drama at this property... EVER... and we’ve been hosting friends and family here for 13 years," Monique tweeted during the September 6 episode of RHOP.

She added in another tweet, "Newburg will never be the same."

Seeing how her friends weren't enjoying parts of the trip, Monique noted on Twitter, "I didn’t FORCE anyone to come here."

She also pointed out how she seems to be one of the only members of the group to have her friends over for the weekend. "So many complaints coming from people who never host any weekends at their homes," Monique tweeted.

Monique confirmed on Twitter that her lake house is usually a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. "I take my mental breaks there," she said. "Me and my fam love the peace, poor WiFi signal and fresh air."

But for those wanting to use the Wi-Fi, all they needed to do was ask for the password, according to Monique.

And as for some of the ladies' concerns that the trip was starting to get a little snoozy after their day out fishing, Monique said, "They don’t understand what bonding is. Or a lunch break apparently."

We feel like this photo of Monique's beloved African parrot T'Challa is a pretty good representation of how she's feeling about her fellow Potomac Housewives right about now.
