Morgan Wade and Kyle Richards' Music Video: The Backstory

Morgan's video, which features Kyle as her love interest, was released in August 2023, about a month after reports first began circulating that Kyle and her husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, had separated.

The steamy nature of the video, unsurprisingly, further fueled the rumor mill regarding Kyle's friendship with the singer.

During Part 3 of the reunion, Kyle will address the timing of the video, and why she decided to partake in the experience in the first place.

"The music video was done, actually, right about, I want to say, a month before that story broke about Mau and me," she says on the reunion stage, which you can check out above. "Obviously, once that story came out about Mau and me, we're not even making a video after that. But, you know, we had already done it."

As Kyle went on to explain, she agreed to be in the music video after Morgan performed at her National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) event for her late friend, Lorene Shea

Why Kyle Richards Decided to Star in Morgan Wade's Music Video

When Kyle initially decided to appear in Morgan's music video, she claims that she didn't know that she would be playing the singer's love interest.

"I didn't really know the creative behind it until I got there," Kyle shares, before explaining why it made her feel a little concerned. "And, I said to the director, 'I've never actually, like, kissed anybody on camera, let alone a woman, or off-camera.' So, I was very nervous and anxious."

However, once Kyle did know what the video was going to look like, she was still on board.

"But, if I'm being honest with myself, I was obviously curious in order to say yes," she continues.
