Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Had the Sweetest Duet at the Star-Studded White House State Dinner

The world's fiercest power couples came out for a bellissima evening.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama weren't the only two to turn heads during Tuesday night's final state dinner for the Commander-in-Chief. Everyone's favorite musical power couple, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, took to the stage to serenade the crowd (and each other) with their duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," PEOPLE reported.

Gwen, who received a warm welcome from President Obama onstage, provided the musical entertainment for the evening with hits including "Sweet Escape." Blake then joined Gwen, guitar in hand, to croon their lovely duet.

The couple was seated at the same table but at opposite ends, according to PEOPLE. After a dinner by celebrity chef Mario Batali, Gwen and Blake were spotted rubbing elbows with another power couple, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his girlfriend, Sandra Lee (photo above).

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and his date celebrity chef Sandra Lee made a grand entrance at the White House state dinner on October 18, 2016.

The Italian-themed state dinner welcoming Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini to the White House boasted a long list of movers and shakers of politics, entertainment, and fashion, including House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica, Rachael Ray, James Taylor, Giorgio Armani, Frank Ocean, George Stephanopoulos and his wife Ali Wentworth, Chance the Rapper, Naeem Khan, Chuck Todd, John Turturro, and Roberto Benigni.

Gwen visited the White House earlier in the day with her three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and Apollo, 2, who got to meet President Obama and the First Lady, as well as Italy's Prime Minister and his wife. The boys even met the Obamas' pups, Bo and Sunny.

Tuesday was a big day for Gwen and Blake. It was also announced that Gwen will return to The Voice, the show where she first met her boyfriend, as a coach in Season 12, along with Blake, Adam Levine, and Alicia Keys, who made her debut as a mentor in Season 11, which is currently airing on NBC. The couple began dating in late 2015, and wedding bells are reportedly in their future.

However, not everyone is excited about Gwen and Blake's romance.
