From protesting alongside Breonna Taylor’s family to taking classes to learn more about social change, Porsha Williams has been doing lots to continue the fight for social justice. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member spent the weekend of August 22 honoring Taylor’s legacy, and opened up about the experience in an August 24 Instagram post.

“I’m very thankful to the Hosts, the family of Breonna Taylor and @untilfreedom for including me in such a meaningful weekend to honor the legacy of our beloved Breonna Taylor,” Porsha wrote.

The RHOA mom also detailed the events of the weekend, which included a powerful conversation about women’s empowerment, and a farmers market which provided food to families.

“Saturday was kicked off with a Farmers Market where nearly 2000 families were fed! I had the pleasure of being one of the panelists at a Women’s Empowerment session. We had an open, honest discussion about how we can further honor Breonna’s legacy by supporting one another as sisters as we strive to take our rightful place in today’s economy,” wrote Porsha. “As well as hearing stories from Breonna’s family about her love for those around her and how her inner beauty touched those around her.”

Porsha continued by reflecting on the event, and the effect it had on her and the rest of the attendees.

“The best thing about this weekend is that it was completely free for Kentucky’s men and women and is showing them that we don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk and we are in this together!!” said Porsha. “This powerful session really was a tool to recharge and gain the momentum needed for myself and the community to push forward as we continue to apply pressure so that we can finally see justice for Breonna Taylor and her family!”
