UPDATE (Nov. 27, 2017, 5:01pm) Barack Obama sent congrats to the couple on Twitter.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged! The couple made an official announcement on Monday following worldwide speculation after Markle was seen shopping in London after moving out of her Toronto apartment.

“We are very excited for Harry and Meghan,” Prince William and Kate Middleton said in a statement. “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”

American royals like Khloe Kardashian and Luann de Lesseps were quick to congratulate the betrothed.

Lin-Manuel Miranda gave a cheeky eyewitness report of reactions to the news from the ground in London.

Wendell Pierce, Markle's former TV dad on Suits, is overjoyed.

Suits creator Aaron Korsh also shared his sentiments via Twitter.

But Patrick J. Adams, Markle's Suits co-star who plays her fiancé, had one of the best reactions of all.

"She said she was just going out to get some milk," he joked.

Congratulations to the royal couple!
