Project Runway Season 18 Eliminated Contestant From Episode 7 Speaks Out
Both this designer and Christian Siriano agree: The downfall was the blouse.
It's always sad when a designer leaves the competition — but this time, the Project Runway Season 18 contestant felt it might be his time.
"Being that it was my third time in the bottom, I kind of felt it inside that it was coming," Marquise Foster, who went home on Episode 7, explained to Christian Siriano on the Project Runway After Show. "Sometimes, things just happen for a reason. I can definitely see what the judges were saying about specific things but hearing the feedback of them liking the skirt and the jacket and the only issues were literally in the shirt..."
"I think it was a proportions thing and I think the blouse was not the best," Christian agreed.
Marquise was sent home following a challenge in which contestants collaborated with artist Ashley Longshore to create a high fashion look inspired by her work. And he thinks he knows where he went wrong: "I really haven't practiced as much with someone who's really busty and this was my first experience and trying to rush and get it done, it was just a miss for me. I got so much into my head and trying to please the judges."
