Ramona On Mario: "I Don't Recognize Who He Is Today"
The #RHONY star opens up about being bullied by her ex and how she's moving on.
It’s almost been a year since Ramona Singer announced her divorce from Mario, her husband of 22 years. The Real Housewives of New York star was originally hesitant to discuss her marital issues, especially when it was time to sit down for last year’s reunion show, and Andy quickly learned that it was a subject matter he probably should have avoided.
But times have changed, and Ramona has become very vocal regarding the demise of her relationship with Mario, admitting that infidelity played a pivotal role in the end of the marriage. Although it wasn’t just the cheating that was hurtful to Ramona. In a new interview with People, she reveals that Mario became “a different person” towards the end of their marriage. "There would be moments where he would be very warm and loving, and then other moments that he was really vicious and mean, and would bully me,” she reveals. “It was like, ‘who are you?’ It was scary, it was very scary.”
Now the Turtle Timer is completely moving on, with absolutely no desire to even be amicable with her ex. “I don’t recognize who he is today. That’s the only way I can heal with it, because when he’s across from me, he’s not the man that he was two years ago,” she explains. “He completely changed.”
The RHONY star feels so strongly, she tells People she considers Mario as “dead” to her.
