Ramona Singer Reveals How Her Divorce Affected Daughter Avery
"She was a pillar of strength for me," the #RHONY mom said of her daughter.
Ramona Singer seems to be loving the single life on The Real Housewives of New York City these days, but she never thought she'd find herself in this place, she shared during a recent interview with AdWeek. “I never thought I’d ever be divorced. That’s why I waited to get married later at 37,” Ramona said. “I came through my divorce with flying colors. I’m in a good place.”
But getting to that place didn't come easy following her separation from Mario Singer in 2014 and the finalizing of their divorce in 2016 after 23 years of marriage, especially for their daughter, Avery Singer, who will be turning 22 later this month. “At least Avery was at college. [At first] her grades plummeted, but she was a pillar of strength for me," Ramona said. "My daughter is everything to me."
Ramona gave an example of one recent text she sent to Avery while she's away at college: "Do you feel my love for you? …. Without you I could have never gotten through the pain."
No matter what feelings Ramona and Mario have had for each other, they're always there for their daughter. “We both know she comes first,” Ramona said.
We'll see Ramona continue to be single and ready to mingle this season of RHONY. See what else these Manhattanites have in store for us, below.
