Ramona Singer: 'I Keep the Company of Men Now'
The 'RHONY' star talks about how she stays positive being single—and how much more her cast mates are enjoying her.
In recent months, Ramona Singer has been enduring heartbreak since splitting from her husband Mario after over 20 years together. But with the new season of Real Housewives of New York City kicking off this week, she's finally embracing her life as a single gal about town.
"I keep the company of men now," she tells Us Weekly. "I'm dating. I'm enjoying life. Embracing life." She brought along one of the men to the premiere party, who she described as "wonderful."
Life has had its troubles post-split, but Ramona is making the best of it. "Life is meant to be enjoyed," she shares. "You have your two choices in life. When something bad happens you can lose your job, lose your husband, lose whatever you may lose. You can sit there and wail about it, or say, 'Hey, pick yourself up.'"
And she's certainly picked herself up! "I'm going to take this negative thing and just turn myself around," she says. "I believe positive things create positive results. That's my motto in life."
Others who are enjoying her newfound freedom? Fellow castmates on the show! "They love it," she says. "They [no longer] call me Ra-meany, but Ramona. I'm more mellow…More relaxed."
