This Is the *Real* Prank Randall Emmett Wanted to Pull Off And It's 100x Meaner

Before suspending production due to the coronavirus outbreak, Vanderpump Rules Randall Emmett was set to make his directorial debut with his movie, Midnight in the Switchgrass. In the weeks since work on the film has paused, there have been rumors that two of its stars, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, are romantically involved. So did Randall see sparks flying between the two on set? The producer turned director recently opened up about the pair.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

“I know that they’re friends and they were friends on the movie, and I know them to have a professional relationship—and that’s what I know,” Randall revealed in an interview with Us Weekly

While it sounds like Fox and MGK kept it strictly platonic while working, they recently appeared in a music video together for his latest single, “Bloody Valentine,” in which they are hanging out in bed and come super close to kissing. When MGK shared a preview of the video, Randall simply commented, “Yes,” on the post, and later explained that he absolutely loved it.

“He called me about four days before the video dropped. And he goes, ‘Yo, I’m dropping this sick video, it’s going to be awesome.’ And he’s like, ‘Megan’s in it.’ And I was like, ‘Megan who?’ And he’s like, ‘Megan Fox, your star.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh s--t,’ and he’s like, ‘You’re going to love it,’” Randall explained. “So the video dropped and I called him and I was like, ‘It’s so awesome.’”

Randall and Machine Gun Kelly seem to have a pretty solid friendship. In early May, when the musician was in a bit of a feud with his neighbor, Flipping Outs Jeff Lewis, Randall took to Instagram to share the bottle of Dom Pérignon MGK sent (via skateboard) as a peace offering to Jeff’s home.

“I’m so glad I brought my friends together,” Randall said.
