The Southern Charm New Orleans mom is home from the hospital and still recovering from what has proven to be a difficult postpartum period, she shared in an update on Instagram on June 18. "This is reality: I’m battered, bruised, and one hell of a hot mess," Reagan captioned a new photo of herself with her husband and baby girl. "Me [and] my kid are both in diapers (a postpartum bleeding tip I have to thank the Instagram moms for), and I’m the proud new owner of an at home blood pressure monitor. I’ve been THROUGH IT this past week, but I’ve never been happier."
Reagan went on to thank two very special people in her life: her mother, Lauren Tucker, and her husband, Reece. "I’ve also never been more grateful for my own momma @tucker_lauren who has been there by my side for every baby birthing moment. 31 years later, and she is still staying up all night with me...Tell your momma you love her today!" she shared in the post. "I am also grateful for my husband @reecethomas504 who thinks I’m cute—even in a diaper."
Reagan and Reece welcomed daughter Reece Ellis Thomas on June 12. But the couple experienced a scary moment prior to her birth when Reagan's husband, Reece, was hospitalized for appendicitis less than 24 hours before his daughter's arrival.
The days after her daughter's birth also weren't easy for Reagan. She said she "was KNOCKED OUT by postpartum pre-eclampsia" while recovering from her daughter's delivery. "We have had the hardest, but best week ever. It’s smooth sailing from here, Dad!! Love you both so much," Reagan said in a post on Instagram on June 16.
All of these challenges haven't stopped Reagan and Reece from experiencing some amazing moments with their daughter, such as her first meeting with Tamica Lee on June 18.
We'll see how Tamica first reacted to Reagan's pregnancy news in an all-new episode of Southern Charm New Orleans coming up on Sunday, June 30 at 9/8c. Get a sneak peek, below.
