Rebel Wilson Dishes on 'Pitch Perfect' Sequel

Rebel Wilson Dishes on 'Pitch Perfect' Sequel

The actress also reveals one Bravoleb inspired her new show.

Aussie actress Rebel Wilson is one of the rare stars who can make us laugh while singing her face off, and her fans clearly want her back on the microphone. While chatting with Andy Cohen about her latest venture—the new half-hour comedy Super Fun Night—on last night's Watch What Happens Live, a viewer called in to inquire about her favorite song to sing a cappella right now, and whether we'll finally get our hands on a sequel to her smash musical comedy Pitch Perfect.

"Favorite song to sing a cappella...right now, it would probably be 'I'm up all night to get lucky,'" she sings (Andy helpfully points out she's crooning Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" featuring Pharrell, one of the most beloved songs of the summer).

And as for another Pitch Perfect, Wilson admits she's hoping it comes through as much as we are.

"Okay, here's the latest gossip," she laughs. "I really want to do it. We are waiting on a script from Kay Cannon, who's the writer of the first one, and then hopefully it'll be a go. But at the moment nothing's locked in."

Wilson also revealed an interesting insider fact about her new show: Fredrik Eklund was the inspiration for the character Lucas. The Million Dollar Listing New York star also surprised the actress on set, and later shared on Instagram that he was "speechless" when he heard the inspiration for Wilson's show.

Watch Rebel Wilson dish on whether there will be a sequel to Pitch Perfect and tell us in the comments: would you like to see a Pitch Perfect 2?
