Kandi Burruss Reveals What You Didn’t See on the RHOA Blue Ridge Trip
The RHOA cast member opened up about a particularly “extra” and “dramatic” moment during the vacation.
Marlo Hampton may have shocked the women of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (and viewers alike) when she ended the girls’ trip to Blue Ridge, Georgia, early in the July 24 episode. But plenty went down on the vacation before the group headed home.
Notably, the episode kicked off with more drama between Marlo and Kenya Moore after Kenya declined to have a one-on-one with Marlo to hash out their issues. Kenya then walked through the house as Marlo continued to invite her to have a conversation away from the rest of the group.
Kandi Burruss reacted to the moment during her July 24 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and shared that she believed Kenya was justified in not wanting to sit down and talk with Marlo, given how things have gone between them in the past. “I mean, yeah, it was a little extra, little bit dramatic,” Kandi told Andy Cohen. “But I guess Kenya’s point was, you know, ‘I’m being friendly. I came here like you said. I brought my bags. I’m gonna stay in the house, like you said. Why do we have to have a separate conversation? Because our separate conversations always go left. So we shouldn’t have to have a separate conversation in this room, because I don’t want to do that. I already know where it’s gonna go.’”
“So I understood what the problem was,” Kandi continued. “I was just like, OK, y’all are being so extra.”
Speaking of being extra, Drew Sidora also raised eyebrows on the trip when she tossed a dog bone onto the floor in the direction of Shereé Whitfield’s friend Fatum, with whom Drew had some tension prior to the getaway. And it turns out the moment was even more dramatic than we saw on RHOA. “Oh my gosh. OK, first of all, that wasn’t the only dog bone that she threw,” Kandi revealed on WWHL. “That’s the only one that y’all got to see. She had a whole bag of dog bones.”
“The lady loves a prop,” Andy said of Drew.
Noting Drew’s flair for the dramatic and referencing the Atlanta Housewife’s Drop It with Drew business, Kandi concluded of the moment, “Drama with Drew.”
Drew acknowledged that, with her acting background, she isn’t afraid of using a little spectacle to get her point across. “She’s an actress, however, I express myself how I express myself. You know, some people fight; I throw bones. You know, I feel like there are some bones Shereé forgot to collect, and I feel like her friend needed something to play with,” Drew explained in The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show (clip above). “So, all I’m saying, when you come for me, you’re gonna get all that comes with me.”
