Kandi and a Producer Break the Fourth Wall to Discuss “the Elephant in the Room” in Shocking Preview

See what Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are initially hesitant to discuss on the upcoming episode of RHOA.

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are making a few changes to the menu at one of their restaurants on Season 15, Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, however, the couple appears to have other things on their plate.

How to Watch

That much is made clear in the above preview of the new episode, set to air on Sunday, May 14, when a RHOA producer steps in front of the cameras to ask Kandi, Todd, and Kandi’s cousin Melvin, “Can I ask you a question? We’re not gonna talk about the elephant in the room?”

Before viewers can find out exactly what exactly the producer is referring to, Kandi responds, “We can’t talk about it.”

“We can’t,” Todd added, “’cause it’s a legal situation.”

At that point, images of news headlines about a 2022 incident that occurred at Kandi and Todd’s restaurant Blaze Steak and Seafood appear on the screen. Kandi then explains in a confessional interview that Melvin, who works at both Blaze and Old Lady Gang, was injured in the incident.

Thankfully, when Kandi and Todd ask Melvin how he’s feeling, he says he’s “all right.”

Kandi shared a similar sentiment when discussing his recovery journey back in September. “He’s doing fine. He’s getting through it,” she said on Ooh Ladies First Panel. “So since he’s OK, I’m OK. If he wouldn’t have been OK, I wouldn’t have been OK, you know what I mean?”

Kandi and Todd opened Blaze — which is seemingly named after their daughter of the same name — in November 2020. Old Lady Gang, which the couple opened in 2017, now has several outposts.

RHOA fans got a look at the inner workings at OLG on Kandi & the Gang, which chronicled Kandi, Todd, and OLG’s dynamic staff as they faced several changes at the restaurant while also juggling their career ambitions, larger-than-life personalities, and personal lives. (You can watch Kandi & the Gang on Peacock and the Bravo app!)
