The Real Housewives of Atlanta Is Nominated for a Major Award
RHOA was nominated for the 54th NAACP Image Awards, as was RHONY’s Eboni K. Williams, and we have all the details.
We’re sending out all the mazels. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is among the nominees at the upcoming 54th NAACP Image Awards. Nominations were recently announced, and you can bet the Peaches are excited about the honor.
They aren’t the only Bravolebs feeling the love, either: The Real Housewives of New York City’s Eboni K. Williams is also nominated, and winners will be announced on February 25. (You can see a full list of the nominees here.)
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is up for Outstanding Reality Program, Reality Competition or Game Show (Series) against Legendary (HBO Max), Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls (Amazon Studios), Shark Tank (ABC), and Sweet Life: Los Angeles (HBO Max).
The RHOA cast celebrated the honor across their Instagram feeds. “Good morning Boos. We’ve been nominated for a [NAACP Image Awards]! What an honor and how exciting,” Shereé Whitfield wrote. “Congrats to all of my [castmates], crew, and producers of RHOA. Y’all Rock!”
Marlo Hampton wrote, “We’ve been nominated for an NAACP IMAGE AWARD! Congrats to ALL my girls, our Producers [and] Crew on the ground in ATL, Truly Original and Bravo! [Today drained me.]”
“What an honor and how exciting,” Drew Sidora wrote, with Kandi Burruss adding in a separate post, “This is awesome. We need your votes! Show us some love with your vote!”
Kenya Moore shared some fire emojis on Sanya Richards-Ross’ Instagram post, on which she wrote, “You heard right… we’ve been nominated for an [NAACP Image Awards]!!! So excited to be a part of this great cast with so many amazing women!!! Support us, our producers, and our amazing crew by voting today!!”
As for Eboni, well, her Holding Court podcast has also been recognized for this year’s awards in the Outstanding News and Information Podcast category. Other nominees in that category include #SundayCivics, Beyond the Scenes – The Daily Show, Black Tech Green Money, and Into America with Trymaine Lee.
“Wow!! Look at God,” Eboni wrote on Instagram about the nod. “Thrilled to announce my first NAACP Image Award nomination… When I first created the concept of this show I wanted to gift the culture with content they’d never heard before. I set out to [create] a podcast that basically told Black America, ‘Don’t worry about it, you don’t have to go to law school… I already went for you.’ And then… God sent me the Great Dustin Ross, a veteran podcaster and superstar talent that helped take Holding Court from ‘great to extraordinary.’ Thank you to the remarkable team at @intervalpresents. And none of this would be possible without my dear Jurors… who tune in and download each and every Wednesday. Auntie E loves you all… and we’re just getting started!”
