"I woke up this morning and decided to say this out loud: I’m happily retired, and it is okay to live my best life. Happy Friday," he wrote alongside an Instagram that also noted that he's "58 and retired. My family is my peace. Golf is my passion. What's your story?"

The update came just days after he took to social media to mark a milestone with Porsha as they celebrate two years together. "Happy Belated Anniversary my love. I’m thankful that God blessed me with your love, peaceful spirit, and understanding in the last 2 years. I’m also thankful for [Shamea Morton] and her husband Gerald, who made our first date memorable with their presence," he wrote about two years since they first started their relationship (they married in November 2022). "I’m looking forward to a lifetime of many more memories with you."

Porsha made sure to comment back: "Thank you my love !! I thank God for the love we share. Thank you everyone for the love."

How Did Porsha Williams Meet Simon Guobadia?

Ok, so, that brings us back to Simon's other love: golf. In fact, he recently posted all about how important the sport is to him.

"Golf has been a passion that I’ve had for many years. Lately, it has become an obsession. I play 5 days a week (sometimes 6 days); take coaching lessons from PGA Certified coaches. My wife has been incredibly supportive and wants me to eventually play for charitable causes. The problem is, I don’t feel confident enough to sign up for any tournament yet, even with a 1 Handicap Index. My goal is to become a Scratch Golfer with (Zero Handicap); maybe then, I will feel good enough to consider playing in Charitable Tournaments," he said, adding that he is open to using is passion for the sport for a good cause. "I would be happy to consider supporting and giving back through this sport."

In another Instagram post earlier this year, Simon opened up more about the legacy he was hoping to leave behind for his family in a "message to my kids," which read, "You are already wealthy. Daddy has invested and equipped you with the best education and mental health counseling money can buy. Not go live your best life." He captioned the Instagram, "As a parent, the greatest inheritance or gift you can leave your kids is empower them with knowledge and solid mental health to be able to provide for themselves and be productive members of society."

For those wondering what Simon did in his career before he was "happily retired," he shared it all in a video for BravoTV.com (clip at the top of the post). "I own a petroleum and logistics business," he revealed in a 2022 Bravo Insider video. "And I have various investments, restaurants and nightclubs, barbershops. Actually, that's a joke. I don't own any barbershops."
