Crystal Kung Minkoff Weighs In on the Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton Drama

The The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 may be over, but the cast is still weighing in on the drama between Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton. 

The sisters fell out following the cast trip to Aspen, Colorado, and they didn’t exactly resolve their issues during Part 3 of the reunion (though they did reunite for a photo at BravoCon 2022).

Fellow RHOBH cast member Crystal Kung Minkoff expressed her loyalty to her longtime pal Kathy on the show, but she opened up to E! News about the piece of advice she actually gave Kyle about the drama. 

“It didn’t air, but at Garcelle [Beauvais'] party, at the end, I pulled [Kyle] aside and said, ‘All of this doesn’t matter. It’s about you and your family, and you have my support no matter what,’” Crystal shared with the outlet.

The mom of two advised Kyle to remember that family is forever. 

“No matter how hard we can be on the show, at the end of the day, when it’s all over, that’s what’s left,” she added. “I really hope that they can come back together and heal and get better.”

Though Crystal wanted Kyle to remember that Kathy is her blood relative, the RHOBH OG offered a different perspective on the matter when she appeared on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, in late October.

“When you are hurt by somebody, it’s not always so cut and dry,” she said on the podcast about why she was quieter when Kathy was appearing on the final part of the reunion. “I’m not subscribing to the idea that you stick with family no matter what, because sometimes when you’re treated really poorly, you have to take a step back regardless of whether it’s blood or not, and you have to have boundaries. If you don’t know the whole story, you can’t know why I wasn’t jumping in and not defending.”
