Dorit Kemsley Offers a Surprising Update on Her Career (UPDATED)

Dorit reveals all about her work today after she took fans inside her charity work in Season 12 of RHOBH.

By Brad Witter

UPDATED (April 14, 9:38 A.M.): We have an exciting update on Dorit Kemsley's work with the Homeless Not Toothless organization, which was featured in Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Dorit is slated to host an upcoming fundraiser for the charity which, according to a press release, is "a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free and quality dental care to Veterans, the homeless, foster youth, survivors of domestic abuse, homeless LGBTQ+ youth, and other disadvantaged populations."

Dorit will be on hand to host a silent auction at the upcoming fundraiser gala, along with Sharon Stone and William H. Macy. The event is slated for Saturday, April 22 at The Beverly Hilton. “I was immediately taken by what Homeless Not Toothless does for the community and the support they provide to the underserved,” Dorit said in a statement this week. "We deeply appreciate everyone who attends this year’s Hollywood Gala and supports our cause, as your generosity helps us achieve our fundraising goals and make a meaningful impact in the lives of so many people in need.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley is putting her money where her mouth is. In honor of Giving Tuesday, she joined fellow Homeless Not Toothless board member Sharon Stone to raise $25,000 to help “veterans, foster children, and women of domestic abuse get the dental care they need.”

Noting in a November 29 Instagram caption that she is “proud to serve as a Homeless Not Toothless board member” alongside Stone and William H. Macy, the RHOBH ’Wife also explained that the charity’s mission is “to empower those impacted by low-income situations, by providing them with quality and free dental care so that they can gain meaningful work, and eat without pain or embarrassment.”

There were plenty of cringey moments when Dorit hosted a Homeless Not Toothless charity gala during RHOBH Season 12, though. Aside from several of her castmates struggling with — and not so subtly mocking — the organization’s name, an “intense” argument (or several) also broke out within earshot of Grammy winner Melissa Etheridge, who was the event’s surprise performer.

“The energy was so intense in the room seconds before Melissa came out onstage, and the second she sang her first words, the energy completely changed,” Dorit reflected during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show in August.

There were plenty of lighthearted moments too. On August 19, RHOBH’s Crystal Kung Minkoff shared a never-before-seen clip in which she and Kyle Richards discuss Dorit’s involvement with the nonprofit. After Kyle confessed that the organization’s name threw her off, Crystal suggested some alternatives, including Denture Ventures, Flossophy, and Bridge to Success. “My dad was an oral surgeon. He would have liked my ideas!!!” she captioned her Instagram post.

Name debate aside, Dorit is still proud to keep Homeless Not Toothless’ charitable work going, especially during the Season of Giving.
