Lauri Peterson Is Recovering from Shoulder Surgery (PHOTO)

Lauri Peterson is recovering after she recently underwent a "painful" shoulder surgery. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum confirmed the news about the medical procedure and offered up details about it on Instagram.

"Totally not trying to get sympathy! First outing to [doctor's appointment] after shoulder surgery last Wednesday. I finally feel like I’m going to live! On a side note...thank God [husband George Peterson] went into business instead of nursing! New year, new shoulder," she wrote.

She also shared in the comments that the "muscle spasms are paralyzing! Def[initely] a painful surgery!"

George posted video from a fall Lauri recently had during which she was giving bike riding lessons to her granddaughter, Kennady, whom she adopted in 2015. The photo he posted with the video shows Lauri in her sling. He noted, "Lauri is now teaching bike riding lessons....and recovering nicely!"

He also noted in the comments that she'll likely have 6 to 8 weeks of recovery after the surgery. She added in the comments, "I didn’t even count that fall!!! I was only considering Tahoe mountain biking and being dragged by Moose on our dig walk! I forgot about that one!! ... Fall number 3 in a series of 3 in 3 months! I’m thinking number 3 is unlucky for me!!! glad you don’t have the other two on video!"

Her daughter, Ashley Zarlin, took to her comments to share her hope for when Lauri recovers: "Now we can play volleyball together again."

However, Lauri noted: "Never again!!! My right shoulder still needs rotator cuff repair surgery!!! Not doing that for awhile if ever!"

Lauri also got support from some fellow RHOC alums in her comments section. Gretchen Rossi wrote, "Oh man, sending healing prayers."

Tamra Judge added, "Feel better soon."

Lauri sent back a similar message after Eddie Judge recently injured himself and also had to undergo surgery: "Thanks! I saw where Eddie was injured as well! Hope he is healing well!"
