Shane Keough Gets Married — and His Sister, Kara, Had an Important Role
RHOC alum Jeana Keough played a part in setting Shane up with his now-wife.
Wedding bells are officially ringing for Shane Keough!
The former minor league baseball player turned real estate agent, who is the eldest son of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Jeana Keough, married his fiancée of two months, Francheska Perez, in Florida on Thursday, December 1.
The couple exchanged vows beneath a weeping willow tree in an intimate family-only outdoor ceremony at the Congaree and Penn farm in Jacksonville. The bride wore a white halter-top gown with a coordinating veil, and the groom wore a tuxedo.
Shane and his two younger siblings, Kara Keough Bosworth and Colton Keough, shared snapshots from the big day on their Instagram pages.
Colton posted an Instagram Story of Shane and Francheska gazing at each other and holding hands during their ceremony. In the background of the photo, Kara, who officiated the wedding, can be seen holding a microphone and reading from a stack of papers. (Back in September, Kara shared on Instagram that her “next gig” would be “officiating the nuptials.”)
The officiant herself shared a carousel of pictures on her Instagram feed. In the second photograph, Kara highlighted some of the guests who attended the ceremony, including her husband, Kyle Bosworth; their two kids, Decker and Vaughn; and her mom.
Shane also took the time to share a few photos on social media. He offered his followers a glimpse at his wedding welcome sign. The day after he tied the knot, Shane shared a serene post-wedding update by adding a view of the beach to his Instagram Story with a hashtag that read “She’s a Keough.”
The news of the nuptials comes just two months after the 36-year-old popped the question to the registered nurse. Shane got down on one knee to propose to Francheska in Florida in mid-September.
“Best birthday present ever!” Shane wrote on Instagram on September 14. “I can’t wait for [Francheska] to be Mrs Keough. I am so happy we got to share this moment with our families. A perfect gift. I love you future wife. 2023 here we come!”
Though Shane seemed to indicate that he and Francheska would get married in 2023, the duo clearly couldn’t wait to make things official.
Ahead of their special day, Francheska and Shane opened up about their love story on their wedding page on The Knot. In addition to taking on an integral role at her brother’s ceremony, Kara also played a big part in bringing Shane and Francheska together in the first place.
Kara and Jeana saw Francheska at a workout class, and Shane’s mom went up to her to ask if she was single. Jeana told Francheska that she should meet Shane, while Kara told Francheska’s friend that she had been “scouting” her to set her up with her brother.
Francheska decided to follow Shane on Instagram, and the two began communicating on the app. They eventually met up in person. The rest, as they say, is history.
