Jackie Has an Update on Her Marriage to Evan Goldschneider and Where She Stands in Her Eating Disorder Treatment

The Season 13 friend shared something surprising about her marriage, and she revealed how she “turned a corner” in her recovery.

Jackie Goldschneider may be married to the “hottest husband” (according to a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen fan question), but you won’t find her snooping in Evan Goldschneider’s Instagram DMs anytime soon.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/9c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

During an appearance on the April 18 episode of WWHL, The Weight of Beautiful author revealed as much while discussing what it’s like to be married to the financier

“It feels so good,” she said about being Evan’s wife. “It’s hot.”

And though Evan has received a lot of attention from fans in the years since Jackie joined the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, she has full trust in him — so she has no idea if any women are reaching out to him on Instagram.

“I don’t check his DMs,” Jackie said, confirming that she’s “not worried” about what her husband is up to when she’s not looking.

Jackie’s marriage to Evan is in a good place, and the writer is also in a strong spot in her recovery from her eating disorder. The mom of four has chronicled her decades-long battle with an eating disorder since she joined the RHONJ cast back in Season 9, and she met with a food therapist on Season 12.

Before filming commenced on Season 13, Jackie’s “recovery was not in the place that [she] expected it to be.” She took on a “friend” role for the 13th season, and she has since reached a better spot in her recovery.

“In retrospect, it was the best decision that I could have made,” she told People back in December 2022 about stepping back as a full-time cast member. “It was really tough to do, but I’m really proud of myself for prioritizing myself,” she continued. “I’m so incredibly healthy now, and I don’t know [if that would] be the case if I didn’t do this. So I have no regrets.”

Fast-forward to her WWHL appearance, and Jackie confirmed that her recovery is still going very well.

“It was difficult for a while, and I was trying to put on a happy face, but I would say for the first eight months of the recovery… it was difficult,” she explained. “Because I put on a lot of weight, and I wasn’t that comfortable. And then I turned a corner.”

Now, Jackie said she’s “so proud” and “so happy” with the progress she’s made, and she hopes she can help others who are struggling to ultimately do the same.

“I really want to be a voice of recovery, and really just show people that recovery is a great thing,” she concluded.
