Jackie Goldschneider Offers an Update on Her Journey After Sharing About Her Eating Disorder
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member says she's "the healthiest that [she's] ever been."
Over the course of her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jackie Goldschneider has been open about having an eating disorder, and during Season 12, the emotional topic has come up again. Jackie has shared more about her issues when speaking to her husband, Evan Goldschneider, earlier this season and later meeting with a professional about seeking treatment.
When Jackie appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday (March 8), Andy Cohen addressed her honesty: "I am finding your sharing, and there's so much more to come and it's very moving and it's very informative, but I'm finding your openness about your eating disorder to be just really engaging and brave of you to do. How is that process going for you healing yourself?"
"It's intense and it's ongoing and it's not easy, but I'm the healthiest that I've ever been," Jackie shared during her Clubhouse appearance, where she was joined by her husband.
During the WWHL episode, Andy noted that Jackie and Evan will continue to talk about the issue during Season 12: "And I have to say, there are some conversations that you and Evan have coming up that I found, that I really was kind of applauding you both for having the conversations."
When Andy noted that he's "learning a lot about something that I really didn't know anything about" during her conversations on the show, Jackie added, "Well, you know, there's a lot of shame and silence around eating disorders, so I figured if I'm gonna recover, I'm going to do it really out loud and let everyone know it's OK to talk about."
Jackie has also addressed how dealing with an eating disorder affects her as a mom. On The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show, exclusive to Bravo Insider members, Jackie opened up about that emotional topic following a discussion with Evan during the season in which they talked about their family and her eating disorder.
