After going through marital turmoil on RHONJ Season 13, did Jennifer ever think of calling it quits?
Jennifer Aydin's marriage to Dr. Bill Aydin may have been in a tough place on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13, but it turns out she never considered throwing in the towel.
As RHONJ fans may remember, the spouses' difficulties began on Season 12, when Jennifer dealt with the fallout from Bill's past affair, which happened years before, for the first time. Now, on the 13 season, the spouses haven't been on the same page when it comes to the way that they each want to parent their five children — Justin, Gabby, Jacob, Christian, and Olivia.
Bill and Jennifer sought the help of a marital therapist on the March 14 episode, and, afterwards they agreed to take "small steps" to better their relationship.
Despite the hard times, divorce was never in the cards for either Jennifer or Bill. When asked if she had thought about splitting up from her plastic surgeon husband, Jennifer said "Never, not even once."
"If I didn't break up with him after him having an affair, I'm definitely not going to break up with him after a little a few hiccups over the children," she told E! News. "Parents fight over children, children cause stress to a marriage, but you make it work."
Though the two are now in a "great" place in their marriage, Jennifer acknowledged that there will still "be times where he annoys the s--t out of [her] or when [she] annoy[s] the s--t out of him."
"That's marriage, for better or worse, 'til death do us part," she added. "I look at him and I'm like, 'You're stuck with me.'"
The couple is doing so much better now, in fact, that they never needed to seek the help of their marital therapist, Dr. Judy, again.
"Sometimes when someone from the outside is giving you advice, you listen to it more than when it comes from your loved one…" Jennifer told The U.S. Sun about how meaningful the meeting with Dr. Judy was for her and Bill. "Things started working out on its own. We don’t even need therapy anymore. We’re like, ‘Why should we go to therapy? We’re great.’”
Jennifer reiterated that her marriage is in a good place during her chat with E! News.
"Things have not been better. It has been amazing," she concluded. "There's like an extra skip in our step and it's great."
