Joe Benigno Recalls One Christmas Where He Left Margaret Josephs Feeling "Horrified": Here's Why

Buying gifts for the holidays is no easy feat, especially when your significant other is a Real Housewife, and no one knows this better than The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Joe Benigno. During BravoTV.com’s The Real Househusbands of New Jersey Holiday Special, Benigno conversed with Frank Catania and Joe Gorga about a past Christmas gift that "upset" his wife.

In the segment "Joe Benigno Draws Marge Like One of His French Girls," the construction worker revealed that it's "impossible" to purchase gifts for Margaret Josephs because "everything she wants…she buys it." 

So, one year for the holidays, Benigno decided to get an oil painting made of his wife after discovering an ad. “The artist managed to get Marge’s face perfect – got her body the whole deal,” Benigno explains.

Benigno goes on to describe the painting in full detail, but nothing is funnier than his reenactment of Margaret's reaction after seeing the gift for the first time. “So, Christmas time she opens it up and Marge is like, ‘Who got this?’” Benigno says in the video. 

Catania immediately quips, “Are you serious? She didn’t like it?”

​​Before Benigno could answer, he laughed and admitted that Margaret was “horrified” by the portrait. Later, Gorga shares his opinion on the gift by asking, “You think they want a picture?" He adds, "They got 2000 pictures.”
