Joe Giudice and Teresa Giudice may not be married anymore, but the former spouses still have each other's backs.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member invited her ex-husband to appear on the December 14 episode of her podcast, Namaste B$tches, and he shared an update on his work and living situation in the Bahamas, why he now regrets taking a post-prison trip to Mexico, and how he really feels about Teresa's brother, Joe Gorga.

As the RHONJ Season 13 trailer revealed, Teresa is no longer seeing eye-to-eye with her brother and her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. As a result, Melissa and Joe Gorga did not attend Teresa's August wedding to Luis "Louie" Ruelas. While the siblings aren't in the best place now, Joe Giudice shared that things used to be very different for the families.

Joe Giudice revealed that his parents were close with Teresa's mom and dad when the ex-spouses were growing up. On the podcast, Teresa shared that both of the families were actually "hanging out" together when Teresa's late mother, Antonia, went into labor with the RHONJ O.G. Once Joe and Teresa grew up, began dating, and got married, Antonia was always in their corner (which Joe said "made it easy" on them).
"One thing my mom used to always say about you, Joe, [was] 'He's so easy... He's a good guy, you could do whatever you want with him. He lets you do whatever you want,'" Teresa recalled her mom saying about her now-ex.

Joe Giudice agreed, and he had a similar affinity toward Teresa's parents.

"We had a good marriage, we rarely ever fought," he said, before adding that he "got along with her parents well," and they "loved" him. The Nassau resident cared for Teresa's mother and father, but he had a bit of a different relationship with Joe Gorga back then.

"The only one [who] was a little pain in the ass was her brother," Joe Giudice continued on the podcast. "He was always a pain in the ass, I don't know why."

While it initially sounded like there was some long-simmering bad blood between the former brothers-in-law, Joe Giudice clarified that they had somewhat of a brotherly relationship.

"We always got along. I mean, it wasn't like we didn't get along," Joe said. "We would bust each other's chops."

Things have changed now, between Teresa and her brother, but she's still in a positive place with her ex-husband.

"I knew him my whole life. I wish him well, he wishes me well," Teresa said. "We have four daughters together, and we do our best to co-parent the best that we can."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 premieres Tuesday, February 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a 75-minute supersized episode. Each week, the episode will stream next day on Peacock
