Melissa Gorga Claps Back on a Claim Jacqueline Laurita Made About Melissa and Caroline Manzo
Melissa also revealed the current status of her friendship with the RHONJ OG.
The beef between Melissa Gorga and Caroline Manzo isn’t exactly squashed, because according to the “On Display” singer, there was never any beef to begin with.
In case you need a refresher, Caroline and Melissa appeared together on three seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey from 2011 to 2013. Caroline’s sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, who appeared on six seasons of the show herself, had a shady response when a fan asked on Instagram about the status of Caroline and Melissa’s friendship.
“I think they are friendly acquaintances,” Jacqueline said about the OG cast member’s relationship with Melissa. “Melissa always used to say Caroline was too old and boring for the show. (She’s not.)”
Just a few days after Jacqueline interacted with the fan, Melissa sounded off on the claim and denied having any sort of ill will toward Caroline.
“Not true,” Melissa wrote in a comment on Page Six’s official Instagram page about the story. “I love Caroline[,] always have.”
Earlier this month, Caroline made headlines for a different reason altogether: She’s one of the eight women who are confirmed to be in the cast of the upcoming fourth season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
The season will be Ex-Wives Club–themed, and Season 2 cast members Phaedra Parks, Eva Marcille, Vicki Gunvalson, and Brandi Glanville will be returning.
Caroline is joined by fellow newbies Camille Grammer Meyer, Gretchen Rossi, and Alex McCord. The eight ladies will be headed to Marrekech, Morocco, for the trip.
After Caroline’s casting was confirmed, RHUGT alum and RHONJ cast member Teresa Giudice (who does have an outstanding beef with Caroline) shared why she doesn’t think Caroline will be “fitting in” with the rest of the women.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 premieres Tuesday, February 7, at 9 p.m. ET/PT with a 75-minute supersize episode. Each week, the episode will stream the next day on Peacock.
