Wendy Osefo’s Husband, Eddie, Weighs In on Her and Peter Thomas’ Nigerian Lounge Idea
RHOP’s Dr. Wendy Osefo wants to create a Nigerian lounge with Peter Thomas, but how does her husband, Eddie, really feel?
The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Dr. Wendy Osefo thrives on keeping busy and using her four degrees, but her newest idea for a business venture may miss out on the support of a very important person: her husband, Eddie Osefo.
On the October 23 episode of RHOP, Wendy broached the idea of opening a Nigerian restaurant and lounge with Peter Thomas to her husband.
In the clip above, Eddie offers his wife his unfiltered opinion about her plans to add more to her schedule when she’s already overwhelmed with her other career ventures.
Wendy starts to tell her husband about her meeting with Peter, and he makes it clear that Peter is not a friend of his.
“He’s your buddy; he’s not my buddy,” Eddie says. Wendy notes that Peter “liked [her] idea” about opening up a Nigerian restaurant. She tells Eddie that she would need to put up $300,000 of the overall $1.6 million needed to get the lounge open, which she is happy with because she doesn’t have the “bandwidth” to be at the restaurant “every night.”
“So I’m glad you got to your bandwidth,” Eddie responds. “I’m just really wanting to understand why you’re going down this path when we just did this with Onyi Home Essentials.”
As RHOP fans will remember, Wendy launched a candle line on Season 6 — though she already felt overwhelmed trying to balance her personal life with her commentating work and her role as a professor.
Wendy admits she’s not necessarily looking to become a restaurateur, but she wants to “see opportunities and take them.”
Eddie is concerned that working on the restaurant will come at the “cost” of Wendy’s health, and she says she would never do anything without getting his full support.
“All I’m saying is you’ve got enough on your plate right now,” Eddie says. “I don’t know if you can have it all.”

As Eddie referenced, Wendy’s health has been affected by her stress. On the October 23 episode of RHOP, Wendy shared she’s been experiencing hair loss following the birth of her youngest child, Kamrynn.
By acknowledging her hair loss and seeking out the help of a dermatologist, Wendy was forced to recognize that she’s been putting herself through tremendous stress.
“All I know is stress. All I grew up around is watching my mom operate under stress, and that [seemed like] the only way to live,” she said on the show.
Will Wendy pile more onto her plate by opening a restaurant? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
