Candiace Dillard Bassett Says Gizelle Bryant Was “Trying to Be Messy” by Doing *This* on RHUGT

Back in July 2022, it was confirmed that The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, The Real Housewives of Miami’s Marysol Patton and Alexia Nepola, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Leah McSweeney, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Porsha Williams, and The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard Bassett would be taking a group trip to Thailand for Season 3 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

Before the aforementioned eight ladies could even unpack their bags and get to know one another as a group for the first time, the shady games began. According to a sneak peek clip from the upcoming March 23 premiere, which debuted during Part 3 of the RHOP Season 7 reunion on March 5, Gizelle asks the women to divulge who they got the best and worst first impressions from during a round of “Impression Session.”

While the game could be an ice breaker for the group to connect on a deeper level, Gizelle’s RHOP castmate isn’t buying it. More specifically, Candiace thinks the Reasonably Shady podcast co-host is trying to stir the pot. 

“Gizelle knows how to rally the troops and create space for games and fun things,” she explains in an interview. “So I’m going to choose to believe in this moment that she’s maybe not trying — no, I’m lying. She was trying to be messy.”

Fans will have to tune in to find out how Gizelle’s shady game unfolds on the first night, but the Season 3 trailer (which you can watch above) does indicate that the cast members had their fair share of both fun and drama during the trip.

In one moment, Gizelle asks cousins Whitney and Heather if their relationship has recovered after the family members went through a difficult time during RHOSLC Season 3. In another, Marysol and Alexia, who have been the best of friends for years, have a shocking disagreement that has the latter cast member calling Marysol’s brain “fried.”

Candiace also has some questions for Porsha about the timeline of her relationship with her now-husband, Simon Guobadia, while Leah takes a yet-to-be-explained trip to the hospital. 

As Leah herself says in the clip, “I mean, it’s eight Housewives in a foreign country. What could go wrong?!”
