Riley Burruss is about to celebrate her 18th birthday! But The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter’s celebration will look a little different this year, as her mom, Kandi Burruss, has explained that she will be quarantined for her special day. Riley is currently in quarantine at New York University, where she will be starting her freshman year of college very soon.
On August 21, the day before Riley’s 18th, Kandi shared a sweet throwback photo of the mother-daughter duo posing with her mother, Mama Joyce.
“I can’t believe Riley will be 18 tomorrow????!!!! She’s quarantined in her dorm alone for the next two weeks. That sucks to be alone on your 18th bday,” Kandi wrote. “So everyone send her love and keep her lifted up! I miss my baby already…”
In the comments section, a parent to another NYU freshman asked if Riley has been receiving meals to her dorm, to which Kandi confirmed, “They are dropping off meals to their rooms,” adding, “She’s not happy with the meals, though.” In another comment, Kandi wrote, “She did tell me that she never received one of the meals,” noting that Riley wants food from the famous Japanese restaurant, Nobu, delivered for her birthday dinner.
Although Riley will not be with her family on the actual day of her birthday, she did celebrate the milestone at their Atlanta home before making the road trip up to New York City to move into school. Kandi threw Riley a party at home, complete with custom cookies featuring the faces of each family member!
