When it comes to Scheana Shay's relationship with Rob Valletta, the longtime friends let viewers into their romance while they were dating last year, which is now airing on the current season of Vanderpump Rules. And, Scheana has definitely been open about their relationship on social media and interviews (clip above) — and her candor has left her open for friends and fans to share their own opinions about her relationship. And, Rob is here to share his side of things and defend her following Monday night's episode in which the group traveled to his home in Big Bear (which he refers to as "my happy place") and their relationship was put under the microscope (clip below).

Robert Valletta Opens Up About His Split from Scheana Shay

Word began to spread in the group that Rob had a certain philosophy about using the word "love" and how he wasn't quick to throw the word around. In response this week Rob wrote on Instagram: "But what I do know is that there are things that I never expressed on camera, but did in person. The reason I created space in our relationship was because of the world, not the person. [Scheana] and I have cared for and supported each other for 12 years no matter the circumstances or dynamic. Leaving mean or nasty comments needs to stop!”

Big Bear will always be my happy place. A lot of people are watching a TV show that was shot months ago, and TV shows are shot to create drama and intrigue. No one knows what happens behind closed doors and or when the cameras are off. But what I do know is that there are things that I never expressed on camera, but did in person. After years of friendship following a romance years ago, Scheana and Rob dated again last year following her split from Mike Shay (their divorce was made official last May). Scheana and Rob broke up in October 2017. Check out the crew chatting about Rob and Scheana, below.
