Someone else "had issues" with the Vanderpump Rules newbie, according to Scheana Shay.

Scheana Shay has been tasked with training the new SURvers this season of Vanderpump Rules, and it would appear that she's really taking advantage of this new authority role. Just as Scheana had been given some menial tasks by Stassi Schroeder when she was the new girl at SUR, she now seems to be having a little bit trouble welcoming Dayna Kathan to the Sexy Unique Restaurant.

How to Watch

Some fans have commented that it seems like Scheana is being a mean girl to Dayna, but according to the Vanderpump Rules OG, it was actually SUR manager Peter Madrigal's idea to give the newest addition to the team these not-so-glamorous tasks. "You know, in all honesty, Peter was the one directing me in the side work for her, so I was just doing what my manager said," Scheana clarified during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on January 21 (clip above). "He said, 'Make her polish all the glasses and then dust the shelves.' And I was like, 'All right, done.'"

Prior to her appearance on WWHL, Scheana told The Daily Dish that Peter still had hard feelings toward Dayna after they didn't see eye-to-eye on what happened between them during the guys' night out last season of Vanderpump Rules. "He obviously had issues with her since he said they made out, she said they didn't," Scheana said.

Still, Scheana, who knows all too well what it's like to be the new girl, had to admit that she took some pleasure in being the one to welcome Dayna to SUR. "I know I kind of came off as a mean girl, but it was fun to haze Dayna. I mean, it happens to the best of us. You pick one girl every year, and it kind of happens," she told The Daily Dish. "Yeah, it seemed funny at the time, but she didn't deserve it, and she is a very good person."

Now that Scheana is a SUR veteran, the restaurant basically feels like home. "There's something about SUR, I love it. I go even when I'm not working. I get on the bar and sing 'Good as Gold' still once a month," Scheana said. "It's a fun place. It's like a family. I'm very happy to still be a part of it."
