Since 2012, we've gotten a front-row seat to that "life here on Sunset," thanks to the fabulous group of Persian friends on Shahs of Sunset. From breakups to makeups, bromances to babies, professional highs to career lows, the Shahs of Sunset crew has let fans in on the most dramatic, touching, and outrageous moments of their lives over the past seven seasons so far.

How to Watch

But everything will change in Season 8 of Shahs of Sunset, currently airing Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo. While the Shahs are hitting major milestones in their lives, from starting families to thinking about marriage, this season may also signal the end of a constant throughout the series: the 30-year friendship of Reza Farahan and Mercedes "MJ" Javid.

So as we look to the future of all of the craziness this history-making season of Shahs of Sunset is sure to bring, let's take a moment to also look back at all of the moments that have made the show what we know and love it as today. Whether you've been watching from the beginning or you're ready to dive into the world of the Shahs right now, these are the most iconic episodes of the series, all available now through the Bravo app.

1. Season 1, Episode 1: "Image Is Everything"

Facing a Tough Critic

What better place to start than at the very beginning of this Shahs adventure, the series premiere (which you can view here)?  Not only were we introduced to our favorite Persian posse in this episode, but we also quickly got a sense of the dynamic between MJ and her mother, Vida. MJ referred to her mom as a "tough critic" in the episode, and Vida lived up to that description by sharing her honest opinion about her daughter's outfit. This complicated dynamic between MJ and Vida would play out on the show for years to come.

2. Season 2, Episode 9: "Hard for Me to Say I'm Sorry"

Who is Going to Stab Whom?

The Shahs have gone into so many dinners with the intention of peacefully breaking bread, but even so, drama still breaks out. One Season 2 meal reached some of the most explosive levels we've ever seen on the show when Mike Shouhed and Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi's friend Omid nearly came to blows. GG had an interesting way of trying to find resolution among the guys, breaking out a knife from the kitchen before declaring, "If someone's gonna stab someone, it'll be me."

Luckily, no one ended up with a wound that night, even though "Lochnessa" made an appearance. Check out the episode here.

3. Season 3, Episode 13: "Return to the Homeland Part 2"

MJ’s Heartbreaking Breakdown

One of the most emotional episodes in the history of Shahs of Sunset came when Reza and Asa Soltan Rahmati, along with Asa's mother, Zinat, traveled to see the Iranian border during the group's trip to Turkey. Reza and Asa have not been and will never be able to return to their native country since their families left when they were young. This moment was incredibly meaningful for Reza and Asa, giving them the closure they so desperately sought for decades.

This episode continued to bring the tears when MJ expressed that she was worried about her future and whether or not she would ever get married and have kids. It's all the more powerful to watch the moment now knowing that MJ has since made both of these dreams come true. View the episode here.

4. Season 4, Episode 5: "It's Nuclear Now"

GG Blows Up at Mike and Jessica

That trip to Turkey may have been more eventful than we thought. In Season 4, GG let it spill during an argument with Mike that he tried to hook up with her during the vacation. To make matters worse, Mike's then-girlfriend, Jessica Parido, was right there to hear this revelation. Mike immediately shot down the rumor as "bulls--t" and "hearsay," but later on in the season, he would apologize to GG and say that he didn't remember what happened that night. The two then agreed to move on. Check out this episode and the entire wild Season 4 of Shahs of Sunset here.

5. Season 4, Episode 6: "Will You Marry Me?"

Season 4 of Shahs of Sunset would also see Mike in happier times. This was the season where he asked Jessica to marry him right before they skydived out of a plane, no less, giving us one of the most romantic — and epic — moments on Shahs of Sunset ever. Watch the jaw-dropping episode again here

Mike and Jessica would go on to tie the knot in 2015. Unfortunately, after infidelity plagued their marriage, which we also saw in later seasons of Shahs of Sunset, Mike and Jessica decided to divorce, which was finalized in 2017. Mike has since found love again with girlfriend Paulina, which may have him thinking about walking down the aisle again, as we'll see in Season 8 of Shahs of Sunset.

6. Season 5, Episode 7: "Surprise! You're Married"

Reza and Adam Get Married!

After shocking everyone by calling off his wedding with Adam Neely in the 11th hour, Reza made it up to his man by having some surprise nuptials officiated by Asa in Season 5. The moment was filled with love and joy. "I'm so in love with this man that I can for the first time in my life see a future," Reza gushed during an interview in the episode. Watch it again here, and be sure to have a tissue handy.

Reza and Adam would go on to share all of the intimate details of their relationship with fans in subsequent seasons of Shahs of Sunset, including all of the ups and the downs. But the challenges Reza and Adam face in Season 8 will bring them closer than ever.

7. Season 5, Episode 15: "OMGG"

GG Blows Up on Reza

Season 5 of Shahs of Sunset went out with a bang when Reza confronted GG for perpetuating a rumor that he had cheated on Adam. Things escalated with GG taking the drama outside, ending in a shouting match between her and Reza. It looked like Reza and GG's friendship would never be able to recover. Relive one of the most unforgettable Shahs of Sunset season finales here.

8. Season 5, Episode 17: "Reunion Part 2"

Can Reza and GG Ever Be Friends Again?

The Season 5 reunion gave us a glimmer of hope that perhaps Reza and GG could get back on track. After the Shahs sat down with Andy Cohen, GG had a heart-to-heart with Reza asking him if they can work on rebuilding their relationship. With tears in his eyes, Reza agreed to explore resolving things with GG in the future, and the two shared a powerful hug before they parted ways. This was definitely one of the most touching and optimistic moments of the series ever, which you can view here.

9. Season 6, Episode 11: "The Shahs Take Manhattan"

Shalom Proposes to GG!

The award for the most emotional roller coaster of an episode goes to Episode 11 of Season 6, which you can check out here. During the Shahs' trip to New York City to support GG's role in an Off-Broadway play, she and her then-new boyfriend Shalom Yeroushalmi got into a major argument that seemed to suggest there was trouble in paradise for the couple. But by the end of the episode, GG and Shalom would end up engaged.

The two would soon be married in a surprise wedding about a month after Shalom popped the question. However, just a couple of months later, GG announced that she had decided to end her marriage. Their divorce was officially finalized in 2018

10. Season 7, Episode 13: "A Very MJ Wedding"

MJ Walks Down the Aisle in True MJ Fashion

The most recent season of Shahs of Sunset ended with one of the series' most special moments when MJ and Tommy Feight tied the knot. As the title of the episode suggests, the wedding was "very MJ" from the prep to her walk down the aisle to the bride and groom's vows. See it for yourself here.

The couple would go on to welcome their first child, Shams Francis, in April 2019. We'll get to meet the newest member of the Shahs of Sunset crew in Season 8.
