Kelly Dodd Has a Theory on Why Shannon Beador Doesn't Seem to Get Along with New Housewives

Shannon Beador hasn't exactly hit it off with the newest OC Housewives, Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter, this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Sound familiar? Shannon also didn't become fast friends with Meghan King Edmonds, Kelly Dodd, or, well, any of the new 'Wives she's been introduced to in the past.
There have been plenty of theories floating around as to why that is. A RHOC fan posed one such hypothesis during Monday night's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, asking Kelly, who was one of the guests that night, if Shannon is just jealous of the new girls. "Shannon's not jealous of anyone," Kelly explained (clip above). "It just takes her a long time to warm up to people. Not everybody has to like everyone."
But if you're able to thaw Shannon's iciness, you'll have an exceptional friend, Kelly noted. "Shannon is just a great person once you get to know her and meet her," Kelly shared on WWHL.
Shannon previously offered up her own explanation for why it seems like she doesn't get along with new OC Housewives during an interview with AOL earlier this month. "I will admit — because I will own my part — that I don’t like change," she said. "When two new girls come in and they’re almost half my age, it’s like, OK ... We don’t have that much in common, so you get to a point where you have to prioritize. I have a business, I have three kids on my own, and I’m going through things that are taking up my time, so should I put those aside so I can spend time with a 32-year-old?"
Gina, who has been particularly at odds with Shannon this season of RHOC, recently told The Daily Dish that she doesn't "even care to try" to be friends with her in the future. "Even now, I feel bad. I so rarely don't like people, and I think that for me, the biggest reason why I don't like Shannon Beador is because she has made me now not like someone," Gina explained. "I don't like this feeling. I don't like not liking people. It's too much energy, and it's too much work to not like someone. I just can't."
