Shannon Storms Beador Learned Something New About Shane Simpson's Challenges Passing the Bar

This was definitely news to The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member.

By Hannah Fusaro

It's no secret that Emily Simpson's husband Shane Simpson has taken the California bar exam a few times. In the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shane's latest bar results at the time were in, but he hadn't looked yet. Unfortunately, he didn't pass, and took it one more time. In November, a fan at BravoCon 2019 asked Emily whether Shane passed the his most recent exam, and she replied, "I don't think he passed." PEOPLE also reported that Shane did not pass his most recent bar exam.

In The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, the ladies discussed Shane's attempts at the bar. "The California bar and the New York bar are the two hardest bars in the country," Emily explained. (The California Bar Exam is indeed one of the most difficult to pass in the country with only 26 percent of repeat applicants passing the July 2019 General Bar Exam, according to statistics reported by the State Bar of California.) "I feel badly; I don't think he's a good test taker."

Shannon Storms Beador agreed, adding that she is not a good test taker, but then reconsidered: "How many times has he taken it?" she asked.

"Four," Braunwyn Windham-Burke replied, which shocked Shannon.

"I thought it was his first time," she admitted.

Emily thinks that Shane's attempts at the bar exam are a positive thing, which she explained in the After Show clip above. Check that out and catch Part 2 of the RHOC Season 14 on Monday, December 23, at 10/9c. Preview, below.
